About the role
You will support the Finance team with bookkeeping, accounts payable, expense management, and month-end close tasks. You will get hands-on experience with startup accounting workflows and work directly with the Finance Manager and founders. This is a great role for someone considering accounting, FP&A, or startup operations.
What you'll do
- Assist with accounts payable, invoice processing, and expense categorization.
- Reconcile accounts and help prepare month-end close support.
- Maintain organized records and documentation for audits and tax filings.
- Support payroll data entry and employee reimbursement workflows.
- Help build financial reporting and process documentation.
What we're looking for
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with spreadsheets.
- Reliable, organized, and able to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Available to work at least 20 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks.
Nice to have
- Coursework or internship experience in bookkeeping or audit.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, Excel, or accounting software.
- Interest in startup finance or fintech.
