About the role
You are the first finance hire and will touch everything: runway forecasting, cap table management, budgeting, pricing analysis, and investor reporting. As the company scales, you will build the function and eventually hire a team underneath you. You need to be comfortable getting into the weeds while also thinking like a CFO-in-training.
What you'll do
- Own the financial model, forecast, and board reporting cadence.
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, payroll coordination, and month-end close with outside support.
- Run pricing and unit economics analysis for product and partnership decisions.
- Maintain the cap table, option pool, and equity plan administration.
- Support fundraising diligence and investor communications.
- Build scalable finance processes and systems as the company grows.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years in finance, accounting, or FP&A, ideally at a startup or high-growth company.
- Strong Excel / financial modeling skills and comfort with accounting fundamentals.
- Experience with cap tables, option pools, and venture financing workflows.
- Detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to translate numbers into clear recommendations.
- CPA, CFA, or equivalent credential is a plus but not required.
Nice to have
- Experience at a fintech, real estate, or marketplace company.
- Familiarity with accounting tools like QuickBooks, Carta, or Stripe.
- Prior exposure to fundraising and investor reporting.
Compensation, equity & stock options
- Base salary range
- $115K – $175K
- Equity grant range
- 0.05% – 0.15%
Variable pay: Annual performance bonus up to 15% of base
Stock options: Equity is not guaranteed. Stock option grants are considered case by case and, when granted, are finalized after one year of employment. Ranges shown are indicative, not an offer.
Final offers depend on experience and location. Ranges shown are what we actually pay — we don't post a range we won't honor.

- 260-minute financial modeling and business case discussion
- 3Take-home exercise on a real company scenario
- 4Final conversation with the founders
Typical time from application to offer: 2–3 weeks.
