About the role
You are the first commercial hire with real ownership of the partner funnel. You will source, pitch, negotiate, and grow relationships with the capital providers and operator communities that make Edge's recommendations actionable. You will write the first playbook and prove the model before we scale the team.
What you'll do
- Source and close a pipeline of private lenders, syndicators, note buyers, and brokerages.
- Design partnership structures, economics, and onboarding workflows from scratch.
- Run the full partner cycle: outreach, pitch, negotiation, contracting, and ongoing growth.
- Feed market objections, pricing feedback, and product gaps back to the team weekly.
- Represent the company at events, webinars, and in investor communities.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years in sales, partnerships, or business development, ideally in real estate, lending, or fintech.
- Demonstrated quota attainment or partnership targets you personally sourced and closed.
- Existing network in private capital, syndication, mortgage brokerage, or real estate investing.
- Comfortable operating without a playbook and creating the first one.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; you can pitch and follow up relentlessly.
Nice to have
- Experience selling into investor communities or mastermind groups.
- Licensed in real estate or mortgage.
- Early-stage startup experience.
Compensation, equity & stock options
- Base salary range
- $85K – $130K
- Equity grant range
- 0.03% – 0.10%
Variable pay: Uncapped commission; OTE up to ~$190,000
